Multitasking isn’t your ADHD superpower
If you believe multitasking is your strength, you will build your workday around it: five open tabs, three half-finished projects, notifications on. You will then blame yourself when the output is slower, sloppier, and more exhausting than your effort deserves — reinforcing the self-blame cycle so common in ADHD. Worse, employers who hear “people with ADHD are great multitaskers” assign work that plays directly into the deficit. A wrong belief about a strength quietly engineers the conditions for failure.
